Summary
Lynn Rodens is seeking a motivated Mechanical Engineer-in-Training to join its mechanical engineering team supporting a diverse portfolio of commercial projects. The role focuses on designing and supporting HVAC and plumbing systems, performing engineering calculations and equipment sizing, coordinating designs, preparing construction documentation, and collaborating with project stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Design and support HVAC and plumbing systems for commercial building projects
- Work with equipment such as air handling units, chillers, cooling towers, and compressors
- Perform engineering calculations, equipment sizing, system layouts, and technical documentation
- Develop and coordinate designs using Revit and Bluebeam
- Support construction documents, submittals, RFIs, and construction administration
- Participate in site visits and collaborate with architects, engineers, contractors, and clients
- Work closely with senior engineers while taking on increasing project responsibility
Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline
- Approximately 3–5 years of mechanical engineering experience
- Hands-on Revit experience required
- HVAC and plumbing design experience
- Strong communication, collaboration, and client-service skills
- Positive attitude, growth mindset, and willingness to step up
- Commercial building experience strongly preferred
- Bluebeam experience highly preferred
- FE/EIT certification preferred
