Job description

Summary

Midcontinent Independent System Operator (MISO) is responsible for managing the electricity superhighway in the Central U.S. They are seeking a Data Scientist I FTR to deliver insights and analytics while collaborating with a diverse team to support sustainable solutions for complex challenges in forward energy markets.

Responsibilities

  • Develop data-driven solutions for complex business challenges, emphasizing regression, classification, and other methods for tabular/structured data
  • Identify patterns and trends in datasets to extract actionable insights
  • Create algorithms supporting cross-functional decision-making in collaboration with developer(s) for building data pipelines
  • Develop complex models for large-scale machine learning, aligning with best practices where existing
  • Employ analytical, statistical, and programming skills to process and interpret large data sets in the cloud and on-premises sources
  • Collaborate with Forward Market Solutions team to develop sustainable tools aiding market operations, including visualizations for dashboards and applications
