Summary
MNJ is a technology solutions provider offering digital transformation and IT solutions. The Account Executive drives revenue growth by developing client relationships, identifying aligned technology solutions, and selling hardware, software, cloud, cybersecurity, managed services, and professional services. The role manages consultative sales cycles, customer relationships, internal resources, vendor partnerships, and pipeline activity across various account sizes.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute strategic account plans to strengthen client relationships, expand solution adoption, and drive revenue growth within existing accounts
- Build and maintain a pipeline of qualified opportunities that supports established revenue goals. Conduct discovery meetings to understand customer business objectives, technology environments, challenges, and growth initiatives
- Present tailored IT solutions that address customer needs and deliver measurable business outcomes. Bring in necessary resources as required
- Achieve or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales quotas
- Establish and maintain trusted advisor relationships with key stakeholders, including executives, IT leaders, procurement teams, and business decision-makers
- Lead customer meetings, business reviews, and solution discussions
- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through proactive communication and follow-up
- Identify opportunities for upselling, cross-selling, and contract renewals
- Partner with appropriate resources; including but not limited to pre-sales specialists, engineers, solution architects, and vendor representatives to design and propose technology solutions
- Coordinate internal resources to ensure successful delivery of solutions and customer onboarding
- Maintain accurate records of opportunities, activities, forecasts, and customer interactions within CRM systems
- Manage the complete sales cycle from prospecting through contract execution
- Prepare accurate sales forecasts and participate in regular pipeline reviews
- Monitor market trends, competitive activity, and industry developments
- Develop relationships with strategic technology vendors and distributors
- Participate in vendor-sponsored training, events, and partner programs
- Leverage manufacturer incentives, promotions, and resources to support sales growth
- Attend internal sales meetings as required. These include but are not limited to, annual company kick-off, SVS events, and monthly meetings
- Participate in MNJ marketing activities and drive attendance to local marketing events

Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent
- At least 4 years of IT sales experience; preferably within a VAR, MSP, systems integrator, or technology solutions provider environment
- Must be willing to travel as necessary
- Must be able to obtain vendor certifications or sales accreditations from Microsoft, Cisco, Dell Technologies, HPE, VMware, Palo Alto Networks, Fortinet, or similar manufacturers as required by the company
- Experience selling recurring revenue solutions, managed services, and cloud subscriptions
- Proven track record of developing new business and growing strategic accounts
- Understanding of IT infrastructure, cloud computing, cybersecurity, networking, and managed services
- Strong consultative selling and relationship management skills
- Excellent negotiation, presentation, and communication abilities
- Ability to navigate complex sales environments and engage multiple decision-makers
- Proficiency with CRM platforms
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across technical and operational teams
- Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language
- Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with vendors, customers, employees, and the general public
