Summary
Nen Creative partners with technology startups to create brands and stories that support their growth. The Creative Operations Manager will own staffing, capacity planning, and resource operations across the creative studio while improving systems and workflows for planning, staffing, tracking, and coordinating creative work.
Responsibilities
- Own resource planning across all active and upcoming creative projects
- Maintain a clear, up-to-date view of team availability, workload, project schedules, and upcoming capacity
- Identify capacity gaps, scheduling conflicts, and potential bottlenecks before they become problems
- Track utilization and help leadership understand where the team is over- or under-capacity
- Anticipate future resource needs based on the studio's pipeline and upcoming work
- Match projects with the right internal team members based on skills, experience, availability, and project needs
- Partner with Creative Producers and creative leads to understand staffing needs and build the right project teams
- Support staffing for new business opportunities and incoming projects before work kicks off
- Manage staffing changes as project scopes, timelines, and priorities shift
- Coordinate internal staffing across shoots and maintain visibility into the studio-wide shoot calendar
- Build and maintain the systems, trackers, and dashboards used for resource and project planning
- Improve how projects are planned, staffed, kicked off, tracked, and handed off across the studio
- Identify recurring bottlenecks or operational issues and develop practical solutions
- Create clearer, more consistent processes for Creative Producers and creative teams
- Identify opportunities to automate repetitive work and reduce unnecessary coordination
- Help leadership understand the operational impact of upcoming work before commitments are made
Skills
- Must be based in the United States
- 3–5 years of experience in creative operations, resource management, project coordination, creative production, or a related field
- Strong understanding of creative production workflows, including pre-production, shoot execution, and post-production
- Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail
- Naturally proactive — you see potential problems before someone has to point them out
- Strong people skills and the ability to build trust with creatives, project leads, and leadership
- Comfortable managing multiple priorities and constantly changing timelines
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Able to make thoughtful decisions with incomplete information
- Resourceful, persistent, and comfortable working without a rigid playbook
- Comfortable with spreadsheets, project management tools, and quick to learn new systems
- Naturally interested in finding better ways for teams to work
