Job description

Summary

NEOGOV is part of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, seeking a Database Analyst to join the Department of Health and Human Services Delivery Center. The role involves maintaining mission-critical database environments, ensuring data integrity, and supporting database design while adhering to security standards and best practices.

Responsibilities

  • Provide support to ensure overall continuity in database design and data integrity, adhering to database security and best practices
  • Ensure daily operations are successful by implementing efficient and effective databases across multiple centralized and distributed platforms as it relates to supporting the Department’s business and functional needs
  • Complete all assigned projects in a timely and efficient manner
  • Provide off-hours emergency support as needed
  • Assist with troubleshooting interfaces, monitoring the database systems, and assist in ensuring the databases meet security and auditing requirements

Skills

  • One year as an Applications Developer 1 or Information Technology Generalist 1 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
  • Four years of information technology experience that includes one year in the analysis, design, and maintenance of databases in overall support of database administration or in the analysis and design in overall support of data administration; or
  • Two years of information technology experience that includes one year in the analysis, design, and maintenance of databases in overall support of database administration or in the analysis and design in overall support of data administration, and an associate's degree in any information technology field; or
  • A bachelor's degree in any information technology field
  • Applicants will be considered to have met the educational requirements once they are within 3 months of graduating with a qualifying degree/credit
  • You must meet the PA residency requirement
  • You must be able to perform essential job functions
  • You must pass a background investigation and meet Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) compliance requirements

Qualifications
