Summary
Novitium Energy is a national energy company seeking a driven Junior Project Manager to support renewable energy projects. The role manages project phases and small-scale projects, monitors engineering and procurement schedules, coordinates vendors and subcontractors, maintains project documentation, and reports project status and risks.
Responsibilities
- Sub-Portfolio & Project Execution: Take direct ownership of designated project phases, smaller scopes, or individual construction sub-portfolios from engineering kickoff through physical handoff
- Milestone & Schedule Management: Directly monitor engineering and procurement schedules, proactively identifying bottlenecks, expediting delays, and holding external vendors and contractors accountable to deadlines
- Contractor & Vendor Management: Serve as a primary day-to-day point of contact for subcontractors and suppliers, tracking scope compliance, procurement deliverables, and submittals
- Documentation & System Ownership: Maintain absolute data integrity across project management platforms (Procore, Smartsheet, Box), ensuring all budgets, RFIs, change orders, and schedules are accurately logged and updated
- Reporting & Risk Tracking: Prepare clear status updates and risk reports for Senior PMs and internal stakeholders; facilitate inter-departmental handoff decks to ensure smooth transitions across project stages
Skills
- 2–4 years of direct project management experience, specifically within renewable energy, solar, utility, or commercial construction
- Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience)
- Strong proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and hands-on experience using construction/project tools such as Procore, Smartsheet, or Box
- Proven ability to manage schedules independently, drive project accountability, evaluate competing priorities, and solve technical/logistical issues in a fast-paced environment
- Must be authorized to work in the United States
