Summary

Ogletree Deakins is a labor and employment law firm representing management in employment-related legal matters. The K&I Premium Services Business Analyst supports client programs by gathering and documenting requirements, improving workflows, implementing automation, and managing content and data. The role collaborates with internal and external stakeholders to enhance program efficiency and achieve successful project outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze existing program workflows and processes to identify inefficiencies and areas for improvement
  • Develop and implement strategies to streamline program operations and optimize resource allocation
  • Integrate automation tools and technologies to enhance the efficiency of program delivery and reduce manual tasks
  • Conduct regular assessments and performance evaluations to measure the effectiveness of implemented enhancements and identify further optimization opportunities
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to prioritize enhancements based on their impact on program efficiency and effectiveness
  • Provide training and support to team members on new processes and tools implemented to enhance program efficiency
  • Continuously monitor and adapt program processes in response to changing requirements and evolving best practices
  • Establish and maintain documentation of program enhancements, processes, and best practices to ensure consistency and knowledge transfer within the team
  • Proactively identify and address potential bottlenecks or challenges that may impede program efficiency
  • Collaborate extensively with stakeholders to gather, define, document, and manage detailed requirements for client programs within the K&I Premium Services team, emphasizing process improvement and efficiency gains
  • Take a proactive role in leading the development and management of critical program artifacts, including comprehensive documentation of program services, automation workflows, and integration requirements with existing or new technologies
  • Research and evaluate potential technical integrations and automation solutions aligned with program objectives, actively contributing to the enhancement of program efficiency and effectiveness
  • Serve as the primary point of contact and subject matter expert for all assigned client programs, offering insights and guidance on leveraging technology and automation to streamline processes and improve service delivery
  • Consult with shareholders, clients and firm resources to automate, update or add content and/or data tailored to client program needs, emphasizing efficiency and scalability
  • Research and brainstorm solutions for content and data, review automation and process improvement
  • Analyze and reconcile disparate data sets, identifying inconsistencies and applying data cleaning techniques to prepare information for downstream use
  • Implement robust data management practices to ensure accurate collection, storage, and utilization of program-related data, facilitating informed decision-making and enabling comprehensive reporting on program metrics, performance and outcomes

Skills

  • Four-year college/university degree or equivalent experience
  • 3+ years working in professional services or in a program management role
  • Experience with process mapping and workflows
  • Proficient in Microsoft applications, including Teams. Intermediate to advanced skills in Excel
  • Exceptional computer/technical skills with a demonstrated aptitude for learning new technologies quickly
  • Proficiency in technology and automation solutions is necessary for implementing technical integrations aligned with program objectives
  • Analytical: Excellent critical thinking, organizational, analytical, problem-solving, and technical skills with the ability to manage/coordinate multiple work streams simultaneously
  • Research skills: Gathers data, analyzes information, and recommends solutions skillfully
  • Effective Communication: Listens actively and seeks clarification, when needed. Responds to inquiries quickly, with professionalism and tact. Writes clearly and informatively. Edits work for errors
  • Client Service: Elevated level of responsiveness; must be able to respond quickly and effectively to questions and requests from all levels, both internally and externally
  • Independent: Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a cross-functional team. Ability to self-start and take the appropriate initiative daily. Self-motivated and able to work with a minimum of supervision
  • Attention to detail: Ability to pay close attention to detail, occasionally for prolonged periods of time and under restrictive deadlines, and complete assignments logically and accurately
  • Proactive: Takes independent actions and reasonable risks; Asks for and offers help when needed
  • Dependable: Follows instructions and responds to management direction. Willing to commit to additional hours, when necessary, to reach firm objectives
  • Responsible: Good steward of the firm's systems, data and information, ability to maintain confidentiality. Embraces diversity and inclusion of thought
  • Knowledge Management experience preferred, but not required
  • Experience with/knowledge of Smartsheet, iManage, and other systems commonly used in law firms strongly preferred
