Summary
OOCL North America Group is an international container transportation, logistics, and terminal company. The Account Executive will identify new business, grow customer accounts, execute territory sales plans, support pricing and contract opportunities, and collaborate with internal teams to drive revenue growth in the ocean transportation and logistics industry.
Responsibilities
- Identifyand develop new business opportunities within the assigned sales territory
- Maintain and grow existing customer accounts through regular communication, customer meetings, and business reviews
- Develop and execute sales plans focused on revenue growth, customer value, and contribution improvement
- Support bids, pricing discussions, customer proposals, and contract opportunities
- Collaborate with internal teams including Trades department (pricing/rates), Customer Service department, Operations department, and the Sales department
- Monitor market conditions, customer needs, and competitive activity to support sales strategy
- Adhere to OOCL’s competition compliance policies and procedures in all business activities
- Represent OOCL professionally in customer-facing and industry-related interactions
Skills
- Minimum of 3 years of sales experience in ocean transportation, steamship, freight forwarding, logistics, or related transportation industry
- Outside sales, territory sales, or account management experience
- Bachelors degree
- Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle required
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Teams, Outlook, and SharePoint
- Strong customer relationship management and business development skills
- Strong organization, planning, and prioritization abilities
- Ability to work independently and manage a territory
- Adaptable with effective written and oral communication
- Negotiation and interpersonal skills
Qualifications
