Accounting Consultant - Remote

The Accounting Consultant supports general ledger activities, financial analysis, reporting, financial close, audit processes, and accounting integrations while ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP.

Responsibilities

• Aid in special project management and completion
• Assist with various internal system and external business integrations (e.g., acquisitions, billing and accounts receivable, accounts payable)
• Working directly with business partners to interpret accounting impacts of business decisions
• Performing general ledger review, account reconciliations and analysis, and journal entry preparation in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles
• Preparing documentation in support of external and internal audits
• Developing innovative approaches for continued improvement in efficiency and effectiveness

Skills

• • Bachelors degree in Accounting including a solid understanding of GAAP and financial statement interaction
• • 3+ years of Accounting experience including month-end close, preparation of journal entries and account reconciliations
• • Proven to be a self-starter and solid time management
• • Proven to be organized and able to work on multiple priorities in a dynamic environment
• • Proven solid communication and interpersonal skills
• • Proven to anticipate customer needs and proactively develops solutions to meet them
• • CPA designation
• • Experience with Peoplesoft Financials, Hyperion SmartView and Blackline
• • Public accounting experience
• • Technical accounting experience, including ASC606
• • Healthcare experience
