Job description
Summary
OVA.Work is seeking a highly skilled Infrastructure Engineer to design, implement, maintain, and optimize enterprise IT infrastructure across on-premises and cloud environments. The role involves collaborating with various teams to ensure highly available, scalable, and secure infrastructure services.
Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and manage enterprise infrastructure, including compute, storage, networking, and virtualization
- Install, configure, and maintain Windows and Linux servers
- Manage cloud infrastructure on AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
- Monitor infrastructure performance, availability, and capacity planning
- Implement and maintain backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity solutions
- Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools
- Configure and manage Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and identity management services
- Troubleshoot hardware, operating system, network, and application infrastructure issues
- Implement infrastructure security controls, patch management, and vulnerability remediation
- Collaborate with DevOps teams to support CI/CD pipelines and cloud-native deployments
- Maintain technical documentation, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and architecture diagrams
- Ensure compliance with organizational security and governance policies
Skills
- Strong knowledge of Windows Server and Linux administration
- Experience with virtualization technologies such as VMware vSphere, Hyper-V, or Nutanix
- Understanding of networking concepts including TCP/IP, VLANs, routing, switching, firewalls, VPNs, and load balancers
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
- Knowledge of storage technologies such as SAN, NAS, and object storage
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation)
- Familiarity with scripting using PowerShell, Bash, or Python
- Experience with monitoring and logging tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, Zabbix, Nagios, or SolarWinds
- Knowledge of backup and recovery solutions
- Familiarity with version control systems such as Git
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
- 3–7+ years of experience in infrastructure engineering or systems administration
- Experience supporting hybrid cloud environments
- Knowledge of containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes
- Experience with IT service management (ITSM) processes and tools
- Familiarity with Zero Trust architecture and security best practices
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate
- AWS Certified SysOps Administrator – Associate
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate
- Google Associate Cloud Engineer
- VMware Certified Professional (VCP)
- Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA)
- Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)
