Summary
Overlake Medical Center & Clinics is a medical center providing healthcare services. The Revenue Cycle Systems Analyst I reviews revenue cycle data to identify and resolve billing and system application problems, supports system administration, develops procedures and reports, coordinates projects, and trains staff as needed.
Responsibilities
- The Revenue Cycle Systems Analyst I performs detailed analytical and statistical review of the revenue cycle to identify and resolve billing and related problems in system applications
- Act as an internal liaison to review, research, analyze, and resolve problems to ensure effective administration of system wide applications for integrated network operations
- Assist in the development of procedures and standards; update and maintain dictionary tables and system master files; create test scenarios; prepare reports, documentation; oversee project status, communicate findings and train staff, as necessary
Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent is required
- Five (5) years of healthcare revenue cycle experience with background in research and analysis of billing problems required
- Skill in organizing, prioritizing, and reprioritizing workloads
- Ability to contribute to staff development through teaching, explanation, and example
- Ability to work independently and take initiative
- Ability to willingly accept responsibility
- Ability to set priorities and use good judgment
- Two (2) years post high school education preferred
- Experience in developing, implementing, operating, maintaining or using information systems in hospital and/or clinic settings preferred
- Knowledge of ICD-10, CPT and HCPC coding preferred
- Knowledge of DRG's, and APC's preferred
