Summary
Link 1 IT Solutions is a private equity-backed IT managed services platform operating across multiple business units. The HR Generalist provides day-to-day HR operational support, including HR administration, employee records, HRIS transactions, onboarding and offboarding, benefits and leave coordination, compliance tracking, recruiting administration, and recurring HR processes.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the first point of contact for routine employee and manager questions; provide approved information, track requests, and escalate exceptions or sensitive matters
- Maintain accurate HRIS data and employee files; process lifecycle changes and conduct periodic records audits
- Coordinate onboarding, offboarding, performance-management workflows, benefits, leave, accommodations, PTO, employment verifications, and payroll-related changes
- Support employee relations by documenting concerns, organizing records, and assisting managers with approved performance documentation
- Administer recurring compliance activities, including I-9s, notices, labor posters, training, record retention, policy acknowledgments, and audit follow-up
- Provide recruiting, learning, acquisition-integration, engagement, retention, reporting, and cross-business-unit project support
- Create clear templates, checklists, procedures, communications, manager guides, trackers, and self-service resources
- Use Microsoft 365, approved AI tools, automation, and HR technology responsibly to improve accuracy, consistency, reporting, and workflow efficiency
Skills
- Bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
- Three or more years of HR administration or operations experience, including employee records, HRIS transactions, onboarding/offboarding, benefits or leave support, and employee service
- Working knowledge of federal employment requirements and experience supporting employees in multiple states
- Experience with HRIS, applicant tracking, payroll, benefits, learning systems, Microsoft 365, AI, and automation; ability to learn and optimize new systems quickly
- Strong organization, accuracy, judgment, communication, service orientation, discretion, and follow-through while managing competing priorities and confidential information
- Ability to travel overnight or longer, generally 5 – 15%
- Authorized to work for any employer in the US without future sponsorship
- IT or professional services, multi-business-unit, PE-backed, or acquisition-driven experience is beneficial; SHRM-CP, PHR, or comparable certification is preferred
