Responsibilities
- Work alongside Data Engineers and Consultants to provide a world-class data platform
- Build, maintain, and support the data solutions
- Solve complex problems using data-focused software engineering
- Research industry trends and Progressive enterprise-wide data/architecture capabilities
- Implement new techniques as necessary
- Build data pipelines
- Provide technical recommendations for advancing our data strategy
Skills
- Bachelor's Degree or higher in an Information Technology discipline or related field of study and minimum of one year of work experience designing, programming, and supporting software programs or applications
- In lieu of degree, minimum of two years related work experience designing, programming, and supporting software programs or applications may be accepted
- Experience with HVR or related data replication tools, experience with orchestration and transformation tools (Prefect and/or dbt), as well as cloud services and platforms Snowflake and AWS (S3, Lambda, EMR)
- Experience with building data pipelines for collecting, transforming, and integrating data from various sources
- Experience with programming languages such as Python, and related technology stacks
- Comprehensive understanding of the data lifecycle, from ideation and ETL/ELT processes, through deployment of data products, ensuring efficient data enablement and reporting solutions
- Experience/exposure to SQL Server Integration Services
