Summary
Providence Health & Services is a comprehensive healthcare organization providing health and social services. The Epic Security Analyst administers and supports Epic security, user, and provider records, ensuring appropriate access and regulatory compliance. The role also supports Epic implementations, access troubleshooting, governance, testing, go-live readiness, and process improvement across healthcare information systems.
Responsibilities
- The Epic Security Analyst is responsible for the administration, maintenance, and support of Epic security, user, and provider records to ensure caregivers have appropriate access to perform their responsibilities while maintaining compliance with organizational, privacy, and regulatory requirements
- This role manages role-based security provisioning, user and provider onboarding, data imports, record maintenance, and access governance activities across Epic environments
- The analyst serves as a key resource for Epic deployment, implementation, acquisition, and optimization projects, partnering with clinical, operational, application, and project teams to support testing, go-live readiness, and ongoing operations
- Additionally, the role collaborates with Identity and Access Management, the Service Desk, and other stakeholders to troubleshoot access issues, improve processes, enhance automation and efficiency, maintain data integrity, and deliver a high-quality customer experience
- Builds and enhances effective working relationships with a wide range of internal and external contacts, vendors, and stakeholders on behalf of Providence St. Joseph Health and Services. Work collaboratively with colleagues across PSJHS in delivery of specific cross departmental projects and efforts
- Actively support and incorporate the mission and core values into daily activities. Treat all others with respect and demonstrate excellence, justice and compassion in daily work and relationships with others
Skills
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Business Management, Information Services or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Epic accreditation or certification (must be kept up to date) within 90 days of hire
- 4 years of Industry related experience
- Certifications in software applications, technology infrastructure, or clinical specializations upon hire
- 3 years of Healthcare IS experience
- Epic experience
- Experience supporting Epic security, access management, provider records, or related healthcare information systems
- Experience managing large volumes of data while maintaining a high degree of accuracy
- Knowledge of user provisioning, role-based security concepts, and access governance principles
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
