Summary
Reserv is an insurtech developing AI and automation technology to improve efficiency and simplicity in insurance claims. The Configuration Engineer will design, build, and deploy reliable production software, primarily focused on backend development while contributing to APIs, data modeling, performance, security, front-end, and infrastructure work.
Skills
- Candidates must reside in an eligible U.S. state throughout employment

- 1-3 years of hands-on experience designing, building, and deploying production-ready software using Ruby or Python
- Proven track record of delivering high-quality, reliable software
- Deep expertise in backend development. You understand API design, data modeling, performance optimization, and security best practices - while still keeping the user experience in mind
- Versatility and willingness to learn. You're primarily focused on the backend, but you're comfortable stepping into front-end or infrastructure tasks when needed - whether its debugging a React component, fixing a security vulnerability, or helping optimize CI/CD pipelines
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills, comfortable partnering with cross-functional teams to deliver seamless product experiences
- We appreciate engineers who explore side projects, contribute to open-source, or publish technical content, demonstrating a passion for continuous learning
