Summary
Rhythm Energy is a renewable energy and technology company combining energy market expertise with technology, design, and data science to deliver customer-centric energy solutions. The Product Manager, Growth & Lifecycle will own customer-facing products across enrollment, retention, and renewal, driving conversion and retention through experimentation, customer insights, and cross-functional product delivery.
Responsibilities
- Own the roadmap for Rhythm’s customer-facing products across the lifecycle, including the enrollment journey, customer portal, retention, and renewal experiences
- Drive measurable improvements in conversion and retention, establishing clear success metrics for initiatives and reporting on outcomes
- Lead retention and churn reduction initiatives, identifying where customers drop off or disengage and building experiences designed to keep them with Rhythm
- Use customer data, funnel analytics, segmentation, and user feedback to understand customer behavior and identify the highest-impact opportunities
- Monitor product performance after launch and continuously iterate based on customer behavior and results
- Partner closely with Marketing and the Head of Growth to turn growth opportunities into clear hypotheses and product experiments
- Design, prioritize, and run A/B tests across the customer journey, from acquisition and enrollment through engagement and renewal
- Use experimentation to evaluate messaging, workflows, offers, experiences, and other opportunities to improve conversion and retention
- Translate experiment results into clear product decisions and use learnings to inform what we build next
- Build a consistent experimentation practice where hypotheses, success metrics, results, and next steps are clearly defined
- Partner closely with Product Design to simplify customer experiences across Rhythm’s digital products
- Own final sign-off on customer-facing designs from a product workflow and requirements perspective before implementation
- Ensure customer experiences balance customer needs, business objectives, technical considerations, and measurable product outcomes
- Use qualitative and quantitative customer insights to identify friction and make experiences simpler, clearer, and easier to act on
- Align stakeholders across Marketing, Sales, Operations, Customer Care, Analytics, Design, and Engineering around product priorities and decisions
- Bring clear recommendations to cross-functional conversations and drive decisions forward rather than waiting for consensus
- Translate business objectives and customer problems into clear product requirements, user stories, workflows, and success metrics
- Partner with Engineering throughout the software development lifecycle to manage delivery through our Agile process
- Communicate product strategy, priorities, tradeoffs, performance, and recommendations clearly to stakeholders and Executive Leadership
- Independently own your product area while maintaining strong alignment across the teams that contribute to the customer experience
Skills
- 3+ years of Product Management experience, with a focus on growth, lifecycle, retention, or other B2C customer-facing products
- A track record of building and shipping customer-facing experiences that measurably improved conversion, retention, or engagement
- Hands-on experience designing, running, and interpreting A/B tests
- Strong understanding of conversion funnels and the customer behaviors that influence acquisition, activation, engagement, retention, and renewal
- Experience working closely with UI/UX designers to create simple, intuitive customer experiences
- Strong stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to align multiple teams, make recommendations, navigate competing priorities, and move decisions forward
- Strong analytical skills and comfort using customer and product data to validate ideas, prioritize opportunities, and measure results
- Solid understanding of the software development lifecycle, including roadmap planning, PRDs, user stories, and Agile delivery
- Clear, direct, and concise communication skills, from day-to-day working sessions through Executive Leadership
- Ability to work independently and take full ownership of your product area in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment
- Experience in retail energy, utilities, or another subscription or recurring-billing business where you manage the customer relationship over time, such as SaaS, telecom, insurance, or FinTech
- Background in Product Marketing or Go-to-Market before moving into Product Management
- Exposure to customer lifecycle analytics, including churn, customer lifetime value (CLV), segmentation, and retention cohorts
- Experience using SQL and data tools such as Databricks, Tableau, Google Analytics, or FullStory
- Familiarity with experimentation platforms and Figma
- Experience conducting user interviews and combining qualitative customer feedback with quantitative data to inform product decisions
