Job description
Summary
Secunetics provides network infrastructure intelligence services to government agencies and commercial clients. They are looking for Network Engineers to assess IT infrastructures and optimize performance in a client-facing role.
Responsibilities
- Interface with our team and our clients to help assess the performance of IT infrastructures
- Establish baselines and identify opportunities for optimization/improvement
Skills
- Undergraduate or graduate degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field
- Minimum of 2 years of network and security experience
- Solid experience in Next-Generation Firewall capabilities such as URL Filtering, IPSec Tunnels, Firewall Policies (e.g. Palo Alto and Panorama, or equivalent technologies)
- Programming skills in Python
- Solid understanding of networking technologies (routing, switching, TCP/IP, Ethernet traffic analysis tool, TAPs, traffic brokers)
- Experience working with or integrating various enterprise management systems (e.g. HP BSM / OpenView / BTO and/or similar products)
- Excellent understanding of technology concepts such as SDLC, systems engineering, IT performance management, IT operations, operational monitoring, security monitoring, and KPIs
- Knowledge of various IT infrastructure technologies (e.g. applications, servers, networks, storage)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills including technical writing
- Candidates must be authorized to work in the U.S. and be eligible to obtain a U.S. Government security clearance
- Experience in packet analysis (Wireshark)
- Familiarity with enterprise management and performance engineering concepts
- Familiarity with ITILv3 concepts especially Service Operations
