Summary

Segal McCambridge is a national litigation firm seeking an Associate Attorney to join its civil litigation practice. This role involves managing high-exposure general liability matters and offers meaningful responsibility and mentorship from experienced trial lawyers.

Responsibilities

  • Manage cases in collaboration with supervising partners
  • Draft and argue motions, prepare discovery, and take depositions
  • Appear in court and play key roles in trial preparation and trial
  • Work directly with clients on sophisticated, high-stakes matters

Skills

  • 2–7 years of general liability defense experience
  • Active Tennessee bar license
  • Experience litigating across multiple jurisdictions
  • Strong experience with pleadings, motion practice, written discovery, depositions, and court appearances
  • Excellent legal research, writing, and advocacy skills
  • The ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • A proactive mindset and a sense of ownership over assigned matters
  • Additional state licenses strongly preferred
  • Spanish bilingual proficiency (highly valued)
