Summary

Segal McCambridge is a national litigation firm seeking an Associate Attorney to join its Insurance Coverage Group. The role handles third-party insurance coverage and bad faith matters, including drafting coverage opinions, representing insurers in litigation, analyzing legal issues, and managing assigned cases.

Responsibilities

  • Handle third-party insurance coverage and bad faith matters from inception through resolution
  • Draft coverage opinions and reservation of rights letters
  • Represent insurers in coverage litigation and related bad faith proceedings
  • Analyze complex factual and legal issues and develop strategic recommendations
  • Collaborate with experienced attorneys while taking ownership of assigned matters

Skills

  • Active Florida law license in good standing
  • At least 2 years of experience in third-party insurance coverage and bad faith matters
  • Experience drafting coverage opinions and reservation of rights letters
  • Strong litigation skills, including motion practice and discovery
  • Excellent legal research, writing, and advocacy abilities
  • Ability to manage multiple matters and deadlines efficiently
  • Strong interpersonal and presentation skills
  • Proven ability to deliver high-quality work product
  • Proactive mindset with the ability to work independently and within a team
  • Federal court experience preferred

Qualifications
