Job description

Summary

SEH is an employee-owned engineering, architectural, planning, and environmental company seeking a Highway Engineer for its Transportation team. The role supports the planning, design, and construction of highway and transportation projects, develops solutions to complex challenges, collaborates with multidisciplinary teams, and strengthens client relationships.

Responsibilities

  • Join our highway design team to support the planning, design, and construction of a variety of projects
  • Develop creative solutions to complex challenges, working closely with our team of engineers, designers and other professionals
  • Collaborate with multi-discipline teams to deliver innovative project solutions
  • Build and strengthen client relationships in collaboration with experienced project managers

Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering
  • Experience in the design and construction of municipal, or state highway or transportation projects
  • Demonstrated ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines
  • Experience on INDot Projects
  • This position can be located in the Munster, IN area, or surrounding areas or can be Remote in Indiana. This opportunity is also open to candidates wanting to work Hybrid
  • Due to current business and operational considerations, unable to hire employees residing in the following states at this time: AK, AR, CA, CT, DE, HI, KY, MA, RI, VT, and PR. Candidates willing to relocate should indicate this in their application
  • The selected candidate must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S. without requiring visa sponsorship now or in the future
  • Experience designing multi-discipline infrastructure projects
  • Located in Indiana
  • Ability to travel as needed for team meetings, client consultations, on-site inspections/visits, etc
