Job description

Summary

SETVI is looking for a Junior Technical Business Analyst who is eager to learn and grow in a hands-on role. The position involves working closely with the CTO and sales team to translate business needs into clear documentation and specifications, while supporting the sales process and ensuring a smooth implementation handoff.

Responsibilities

  • Own pre-sale documentation: SOWs, business cases, and solution briefs tailored to wholesale distribution prospects
  • Participate in structured discovery sessions with prospects to capture workflows, pain points, and integration requirements
  • Translate business requirements into functional specs, user stories, and acceptance criteria for the engineering team
  • Build and maintain domain knowledge documentation across SETVI verticals (foodservice, janitorial, packaging, wire/cable, etc.)
  • Support the sales team with proposal writing, pricing justification narratives, and ROI models
  • Assist with the implementation handoff process — ensuring what was sold is clearly documented for delivery
  • Act as the bridge between customer-facing teams and the development team
  • Assist with QA definition and acceptance testing on key features before client delivery

Skills

  • 0–3 years of experience in a BA, pre-sales, implementation, or similar role in the tech industry
  • Fresh graduates welcome — ideally from a strong university program in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or a related field
  • Technical or business background with a genuine interest in SaaS products and how they're built and delivered
  • Solid documentation skills — can produce clear, structured written deliverables
  • Technically literate — understands APIs, data models, and integration concepts without being a developer
  • Strong communicator who can ask the right questions and turn ambiguous input into actionable specs
  • Self-directed and comfortable in a startup environment where processes are still being shaped
  • Familiarity with tools like HubSpot, Linear, Confluence, Salesforce, or similar is a plus
