Summary
Seyfarth Shaw LLP is a law firm providing advisory, litigation, and transactional legal services. The Conflicts Researcher will use Intapp Open and online research tools to generate accurate conflicts of interest reports, interpret and analyze information, and manage assignments while collaborating with firm leadership, partners, and business colleagues.
Responsibilities
- Generate new business conflicts of interest reports according to department procedures, utilizing Intapp Open conflicts software and available online research tools
- Have a working knowledge of all department standard operating procedures and understand conflicts request workflow
- Understand basic conflicts of interest principles as taught by the National Conflicts Manager and Conflicts Attorneys
- Demonstrate sound judgment in managing your assignments in relation to firm and department priorities
- Ability to interpret and analyze information. Demonstrate ability to compile, review, filter, synthesize, and determine logical conclusions or recommendations based on data and information which is varied in content and format
- Must be a self-starter; able to work with a diverse team in a fast-paced environment; and exercise independent judgment in performing all aspects of your assignments

- Proficiency with Microsoft programs including Outlook, Word, and Excel and the ability to learn new software is required
- Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Bachelor's degree, highly preferred
- If you have prior conflicts experience you may be considered
- Prior work experience in a legal or professional service environment desired
- Experience with relational databases, such as Intapp Open, LegalKey, or CompliGuard Analyze, desired
- Previous online research experience preferred, including Dun & Bradstreet
- Experience working with PDF software is a plus
