IT Strategy Analyst

Summary

The State of Michigan is seeking an IT Strategy Analyst responsible for providing support to various bureau business sections on a range of projects including technology implementations and system enhancements. The role involves developing business best practices, managing communication with stakeholders, and providing expert guidance to bureau users.

Responsibilities

• Providing efficient and timely support to designated bureau business sections pertaining to the completion of a variety of projects ranging between large-scale agency initiatives, new technology implementations, Department of Technology, Management and Budget (DTMB) mandates, and existing system/program enhancements
• Developing and enforcing business best practices across all the designated agencies using these platforms
• Identifying and prioritizing all the outstanding work on these platforms in collaboration with DTMB and designated LARA bureaus
• Managing various communication requirements, including internal or external communication to designated bureaus, vendors, and DTMB
• Conducting stakeholder presentations and informational sessions that outline technology initiatives and provide written updates to executive team members
• Offering guidance to bureau users and support personnel in the form of expert input into tasks and decisions

Skills

• Possession of a bachelor's degree in any major
• Departmental Analyst 9: No specific type or amount of experience required
• Departmental Analyst 10: One year of professional experience
• Departmental Analyst P11: Two years of professional experience, including one year of experience equivalent to the intermediate (10) level in state service
• Educational level typically acquired through completion of high school and the equivalent of at least two years of full-time active-duty experience at or above the E-6 level in the uniformed services may be substituted for the education requirement

• Departmental Analyst P11: Two years of professional experience, including one year of experience equivalent to the intermediate (10) level in state service
