Summary
Strongpoint Partners is a tech-enabled retirement services platform serving small- to mid-sized businesses with integrated retirement, payroll, and HR solutions. The Internal Business Development Consultant of Retirement Plans converts inbound interest into advisor relationships and new retirement plan opportunities by qualifying leads, engaging financial advisors, and supporting the sales pipeline.
Responsibilities
- Manage and qualify inbound retirement plan leads generated through marketing campaigns, partnerships, and referrals
- Engage financial advisors, consultants, and referral partners to understand their business and retirement plan needs
- Build and maintain a pipeline of qualified opportunities, ensuring timely follow-up and progression
- Partner with field sales and National Accounts teams to transition opportunities and coordinate next steps
- Support advisor meetings, proposals, and presentations
- Educate advisors on retirement plan design, compliance considerations, and TPA services
- Maintain accurate records of all interactions and pipeline activity within the CRM
- Collaborate with marketing to provide feedback on lead quality and campaign performance
- Other duties as assigned
Skills
- 2–5 years of experience in financial services, sales, business development, or client relationship management
- Experience working with CRM platforms and sales tools
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Strong relationship-building and communication skills
- Ability to quickly establish credibility with financial advisors
- Highly organized with strong follow-up discipline
- Curiosity and willingness to learn retirement plan structures and regulations
- Collaborative mindset with the ability to work across sales, marketing, and operations teams
- Results-driven with a proactive approach to business development
- Exposure to retirement plans, financial advisor distribution, or institutional sales is preferred
- Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field preferred
