This position works within the Communication and Marketing department. This department is responsible for developing messaging strategy and researching, writing, editing and designing content to share with internal and external stakeholders and the public. This internship will review and report on social media analytics to improve the social media content The Food Bank shares. In order to support these tasks, this position will:
Get familiar with The Food Bank’s brand and review the existing style guide. Review The Food Bank’s social media content in the past 6 months and develop a brief 1-page report on engagements Develop standards for reporting social media analytics, including short- and long- term data visuals for engagement across platforms—with specific tracked data to be informed by initial review Archive photos and videos on shared drive Develop digital story telling content (including video project on retail rescue and sustainability)
Compassionate, patient and sensitive to the needs of people experiencing food insecurity Familiarity with retrieving and interpreting social media analytics (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram) Ability to recognize and visually convey data patterns, correlations and trends over time Attention to detail Basic visual design skill, with proficiency in Adobe Suite or Canva Ability to tell a story using data
Completion of sustainable project that will impact the efficiency and effectiveness of The Food Bank to provide food to 32 counties in Central & Northeast Missouri Present completed project(s) to The Food Bank stakeholders Experience working with low-income communities Recommendation letter upon completion of internship ·Knowledge of food systems, food safety, and food sustainability
