Job DescriptionSpanish Language Marketing/Public Relations Intern will play a key role in growing The SoccerTournament's presence within Spanish-speaking communities by leading community outreach, grassrootsmarketing and public relations initiatives throughout Central North Carolina and beyond. This positionwill help build authentic relationships with community organizations, soccer clubs, schools, businesses,media outlets, and cultural institutions while supporting marketing and fan engagement efforts thatconnect new audiences to TST.The ideal candidate is fluent in both Spanish and English, possesses strong written and verbalcommunication skills in both languages, and has meaningful knowledge of the diverse Hispanic andLatino communities throughout Central North Carolina. The successful candidate will bring culturalawareness, relationship-building expertise, and a passion for soccer, helping create partnerships andcommunity programs that expand access to the sport and strengthen TST's connection withSpanish-speaking fans.Primary Responsibilities● Developing and executing Spanish-language marketing campaigns across digital, social media,email, and grassroots channels.● Creating, translating, and proofreading marketing materials, promotional content, communitycommunications, and event information in Spanish and English.● Building and maintaining relationships with Hispanic and Latino community organizations,soccer clubs, businesses, media outlets, schools, and cultural institutions throughout CentralNorth Carolina.● Assisting with community outreach initiatives, grassroots marketing activations, and fanengagement programs.● Identifying opportunities to increase awareness and participation among Spanish-speakingaudiences.● Coordinating with media partners, influencers, content creators, and community leaders servingHispanic and Latino audiences.● Supporting event operations and on-site fan engagement activities before, during, and afterTournament events.● Assisting with market research and audience insights to better understand fan needs andcommunity interests.● Collaborating with the broader Marketing, Communications, and Community Relations teams onstrategic initiatives.Qualifications● Professional fluency in both Spanish and English, including speaking, reading, writing, andtranslation.● Excellent written and verbal communication skills.● Experience in marketing, communications, public relations, community engagement, contentcreation, or a related field.● Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.● Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.● Passion for soccer, sports, and community engagement.Schedule & Time CommitmentThe internship period is November 9, 2026 - June 15, 2027. Interns are expected to be available up to amaximum of 10 hours per week, though the expected time commitment will vary by week. Timecommitments for local marketing activations will primarily be during the weekend. The internship is inperson for events, however there will be remote meetings. More specific details regarding the timecommitments will be provided as you move forward in the application process.School CreditThis is an unpaid internship, however we are committed to providing an educational environmentthroughout this experience. If your school offers internship credit, we are happy to work with you toensure that credit requirements are met.
