Job description

Summary

TikTok is a leading destination for short-form mobile video, and they are seeking a Strategy Analysis Project Intern for their US Operations team. The intern will engage in impactful projects related to market intelligence, merchant operations, and data synthesis to support the growth of the luxury resale category.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive research on the global and local luxury resale market trends
  • Monitor and analyze competitor movements on TikTok Shop and other major social commerce platforms
  • Perform deep-dive operational analysis of top-tier merchants (Head Sellers) to identify best practices in product assortment, pricing, and content strategy
  • Assist Operations Managers in developing data-backed growth plans for key luxury merchants
  • Support the end-to-end execution of Mega Live events, ensuring seamless coordination between merchants, creators, and platform resources
  • Track performance metrics post-campaign to evaluate ROI and provide recommendations for future scaling
  • Consolidate complex datasets into structured reports and presentations for internal stakeholders
  • Identify emerging "hot items" and consumer behavior shifts within the luxury segment to guide category optimization

Skills

  • Currently pursuing an Undergraduate/Master degree, preferably in Business, Economics, Data Analytics, Fashion Management, or a related field
  • Proven skills in Excel/Google Sheets; ability to derive 'the story' behind the numbers
  • Strong interest in e-commerce, and creator economy
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills; comfortable working with cross-functional teams
  • Proven skills of learning ability, execution ability and stress resistance, as well as strong communication and coordination, resource integration ability and project management ability
  • Internship or full-time experience in an e-commerce business, having a solid understanding of the industry landscape
  • Interest in luxury resale, fashion, handbags, watches, jewelry, collectibles, or related categories is preferred
  • Proficiency in Excel / Google Sheets and experience in business analysis or operational reporting is preferred
