Responsibilities
- Manage the UNL Police servers, desktop computing systems, and security systems
- Provide expert advice regarding security system configuration and design
- Administer processes and procedures for all systems
- Responsible for all first-tier technical assistance for all systems, including desktop computing equipment, access control, and CCTV
Skills
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field plus two years of system administration, maintenance, and operation experience required; equivalent education/experience considered
- Must possess knowledge of current Microsoft Windows desktop and server products, Microsoft Active Directory and management thereof; hardware/software troubleshooting; customer service and TCP/IP networking
- Experience must demonstrate ability to work in a fast-paced team environment
- Master's degree in computer science or related field
- Experience in configuration, troubleshooting, and maintenance of physical security systems (i.e. surveillance cameras, access control, alarms, etc.) preferred
- Public safety systems application knowledge or alarm central station experience highly desired
- Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP), Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA), A+ and Server+ certifications preferred
