The International Admissions & Enrollment Counselor manages and supports the recruitment,
admission, enrollment, and successful transition of international students to Valley Christian Schools
(VCS). Working under the direction of the Director of International Student Program, this position serves
as a primary point of contact for prospective international students and families from initial inquiry
through enrollment.
The position also supports international marketing and recruitment initiatives, relationships with
educational consultants and recruitment partners, international student onboarding, and International
Student Program (ISP) events and activities. This is a part-time hourly position with no benefits. The hourly rate is from $30 to $32, depending on experience.
• Manage the international admissions and enrollment process from inquiry through successful
transition into the International Student Program
• Develop and maintain relationships with prospective international families and recruitment
partners to support enrollment goals
• Support international marketing, recruitment, and partnership initiatives under the direction of
the Director
• Maintain accurate admissions, enrollment, recruitment, and partner records and ensure timely
communication and follow-up
• Coordinate across VCS departments to support international student onboarding and a smooth
admissions-to-enrollment experience
• Support ISP events, recruitment programs, and other program needs as assigned
• Represent VCS professionally with prospective families, recruitment partners, and the
international education community
• Maintain required documentation and records related to recruitment partnerships and other
assigned ISP activities
• Prepare and coordinate payment-related documentation in accordance with VCS and FABS
procedures
• Payment approvals remain under the authority of the Director in coordination with FAB
Other listed duties may be performed by other office staff when necessary
EXTENT OF PUBLIC CONTACT
• Frequent contact with prospective international students and families
• Regular contact with educational consultants, recruitment agents, schools, and other partner
organizations
• Regular collaboration with VCS administrators, staff, counselors, faculty, and other departments
• Occasional contact with currently enrolled international students and families as needed and
assigned
• Bachelor's degree required
• Experience in admissions, recruitment, international education, student services, or a related
field preferred
• Excellent interpersonal, customer-service, and verbal and written communication skills

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities
and deadlines
• Ability to communicate effectively and sensitively with students, families, and professional
partners from diverse cultural backgrounds
• Proficiency with CRM systems, Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, generative AI tools, and
other productivity software
• Experience with International recruitment, F-1 student regulations/DSO responsibilities, and
cross-cultural environments preferred
• Bilingual or multilingual ability preferred
• Strong interpersonal, relationship-building, customer-service, and cross-cultural communication
skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong organization, attention to detail, follow-through, and ability to manage multiple priorities
independently and collaboratively
