Job description

Summary

The Inside Sales Specialist supports revenue growth by building customer relationships, managing sales activities, developing proposals and quotations, coordinating technical and pricing requirements, and partnering with internal teams and channel partners.

Responsibilities

  • Build strong customer relationships by understanding needs, providing responsive support, and ensuring a positive customer experience
  • Support the sales process through lead follow-up, opportunity qualification, quotations, proposals, and order management
  • Develop standard and configured-to-order proposals, coordinating pricing and technical requirements with factory, engineering, and commercial teams
  • Drive opportunities through the sales cycle, supporting order closure, customer account setup, and seamless handoff to operations
  • Partner across sales and ABB organizations to strengthen relationships, share market and competitor insights, and support sales targets

Skills

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university or college and 2 years minimum relevant work experience, or a High School Diploma / GED and a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience
  • Experience in proposal or quote development, sales support, or order administration strongly preferred
  • General knowledge of power transmission & distribution products/systems preferred
  • Previous experience with business-to-business customer support preferred
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or other technical discipline preferred

Qualifications

Must Haves

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university or college and 2 years minimum relevant work experience, or a High School Diploma / GED and a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience

Nice to Haves

  • Experience in proposal or quote development, sales support, or order administration strongly preferred
  • General knowledge of power transmission & distribution products/systems preferred
  • Previous experience with business-to-business customer support preferred
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or other technical discipline preferred
