Job description

Summary

The Academic Consortium for Integrative Medicine and Health advances integrative medicine and whole-health practices through a global community of academic health institutions. The Marketing Specialist will lead content planning, marketing communications, digital channel management, brand stewardship, and promotion of memberships, programs, and events, including the annual International Congress.

Responsibilities

  • Manage all organization email communications, ensuring consistency, accuracy, and timely delivery
  • Support communications needs related to the organization's online member community
  • Manage and update the organization's website and microsites, ensuring content accuracy, usability, and alignment with brand standards
  • Develop and implement comprehensive marketing strategies to promote membership, programs, and events
  • Create compelling content for websites, newsletters, social media, and email campaigns
  • Manage social media platforms, ensuring consistent branding and timely updates
  • Design and coordinate production and distribution of marketing collateral, including flyers, brochures, and digital assets
  • Collaborate with the membership team to share member stories, thought leadership, and updates
  • Monitor and analyze metrics to assess campaign effectiveness and identify opportunities for improvement
  • Manage International Congress final report design, production, and distribution
  • Serve as a steward of the organization’s brand and communications standards, ensuring consistency, quality, and accuracy across channels
  • Coordinate all communications promoting both internal and external events across all channels
  • Develop and coordinate marketing and communications for the Academic Consortium’s programs, webinars, meetings, and annual International Congress
  • Support International Congress communications, marketing deliverables, planning, and on-site execution as needed
  • The Academic Consortium programming is ever evolving to meet the needs of our members and the priorities of the organization. The Marketing Specialist will be an integral part of the dynamic, flexible team that supports this evolution

Skills

  • • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, journalism, or a related field
  • • 3+ years of experience in marketing, preferably within a nonprofit, association, or healthcare setting
  • • Proven track record in content marketing, including content planning, writing, production, and distribution
  • • Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
  • • Proficiency in digital marketing platforms (e.g., MailChimp, Hootsuite, Canva) and Microsoft platforms
  • • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote environment
  • • Familiarity with integrative health, healthcare education, or association environments
  • • Basic graphic design skills for creating marketing materials
  • • Knowledge of CRM systems and event management software
  • • Experience supervising and/or mentoring interns or junior staff members
