Summary

Advantive is a company that specializes in purpose-built software for specialty manufacturing and distribution businesses. The Technical Consultant will lead the design and implementation of software solutions to improve client operations, ensuring successful deployment and fostering strong client relationships.

Responsibilities

  • Enhance client value by gathering requirements and designing solutions that streamline operations and improve efficiency
  • Deliver high-quality software implementations, confirmed by rigorous testing and validation, aligning with strategic business goals
  • Accelerate project timelines through proactive problem-solving and rapid adaptation to new technologies and processes
  • Strengthen strategic client relationships and achieve process improvements by leveraging portfolio knowledge and crisp communication skills
  • Travel globally to customer sites for the purpose of system integration, troubleshooting, and training

Skills

  • 3+ years hands-on experience working with, configuring, and deploying Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES)
  • Ability to read and work within XML files
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server and Stored Procedures
  • Controls and automation programming
  • Knowledge of PLC systems and be able to work with an OPC server
  • Proficiency using Microsoft Office, including proper document structure, formatting, pivot tables and effective presentations
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities
  • Degree or equivalent certification or work experience in a technical discipline
  • Travel expected: up to 50%
  • Must be able to travel globally
  • Office Requirements: Fully remote
  • Prior knowledge of working with PINpoint MES
  • Knowledge of PLC programming would be an asset
