Summary
IPEX is a North American provider of advanced plastic piping systems connecting people with water and energy. The Account Manager will lead portfolio growth through business segment development, strategic account management, sales engineering, technical sales support, and market development, with a focus on cooling tower and data center cooling technologies. The role will develop customer relationships, drive market strategy, pursue new opportunities, and advise customers and internal stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Establish yourself internally and in the market as the recognized leader of the portfolio. As portfolio leader, you will become the trusted go-to for Customer Service, Demand Planning, Supply Planning, Production, and Logistics
- Lead business strategy for the Cooling Tower portfolio — with a strong focus on Data Center Cooling — driving specification, adoption, market penetration, and profitable growth. Track sales trends and oversee the execution of forecast management following the fundamentals of IBP
- Identify strategic and profitable growth opportunities and develop actionable plans to convert opportunities into sustainable business growth
- Oversee go-to-market decisions and represent IPEX at industry, customer, and vendor events
- Gather customer insights and translate customer requirements into product solutions, executable plans, and forward-motion actions
- Build and maintain deep, partner-level relationships with stakeholders, business drivers, and key purchasing decision-makers. Become the primary point of contact and trusted advisor for your customers
- Maintain a high profile for IPEX / Multi Fittings within key account and position IPEX / Multi Fittings as a trusted, well-organized national partner
- Develop and execute strategic account plans that drive revenue growth, customer retention, and increased share of wallet
- Lead portfolio discussions with Sales Leadership and provide market intelligence to support business strategy and decision-making
- Serve as the senior technical resource for the portfolio and for Multi Fittings — training and supporting the sales force on applications, codes, standards, and technical support for supporting distributors, engineers, and contractors
- Collaborate with Engineering, Product Management, Sales, Operations, Demand Planning, and Supply Planning to support business objectives and customer success
Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Business is required
- 3–5 years of relevant sales and/or product management experience in waterworks distribution, cooling tower systems, data center cooling technologies
- Working knowledge of design plans, construction processes, codes, specifications, and product applications
- Strong technical, analytical, negotiating, and communication skills with the ability to clearly explain complex concepts both verbally and in writing
- Proven ability to build trusted relationships with customers and stakeholders while demonstrating strong business acumen and a customer-focused approach
- Highly organized with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to effectively manage a large, multi-segment territory
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel; familiarity with CRM
- Basic CAD is an asset

Must Haves
