Job description

Summary

Aquatech provides water and process technology solutions addressing water scarcity, including water reuse, desalination, and critical minerals recovery. The PEARL License Project Manager will coordinate license deliverables, correspondence, schedules, change control, documentation, and cross-functional project support across concurrent license agreements.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain a master deliverable register for every active license agreement, mapping each contractual obligation to an owner, due date, dependency and current status
  • Track Aquatech and licensee reciprocal obligations, including submittal deadlines, review and comment windows, response turnaround commitments, and conditions precedent to milestone invoicing
  • Flag obligations early, quantify schedule and commercial exposure, and escalate to platform, licensing, and legal leadership with a recommended recovery path
  • Maintain an auditable record of contractual notices, approvals, deviations, and waivers so that Aquatech’s position is defensible at any point in the license term
  • Serve as the single point of coordination for formal licensee correspondence: transmittals, requests for information, technical queries, comment responses, and notices
  • Operate a controlled correspondence log with unique reference numbers, response-due dates, and closure status; ensure nothing falls between engineering, legal, and commercial owners
  • Draft and route clear, professional responses on behalf of the project team, ensuring positions are consistent with the executed agreement and reviewed by the appropriate technical or legal authority before issue
  • Prepare meeting agendas, minutes, and action registers for licensee progress calls and design reviews, and drive actions to closure
  • Build and maintain integrated license execution schedules covering engineering deliverables, licensee reviews, long-lead items, testing and treatability campaigns, and commissioning support
  • Run critical path analysis across concurrent licenses, identify resource conflicts within the PEARL engineering team, and support workload prioritization decisions
  • Publish weekly and monthly progress reporting, including deliverable status, schedule variance, open correspondence, and forward-look risk
  • Manage change control: log scope changes, assess schedule and cost impact, and ensure changes are documented and agreed before execution
  • Coordinate with Canonsburg and ICD engineering divisions so that full flow-sheet scope stays visible and deliverable dates are realistic
  • Support stage-gate governance by assembling the evidence and documentation required at each gate
  • Work with finance and commercial teams to align milestone completion evidence with invoicing and revenue recognition
  • Support intellectual property discipline in all licensee-facing document control, including confidentiality markings and controlled distribution
  • Other duties as assigned

Skills

  • * Bachelor's degree in chemical, mechanical, industrial, or civil engineering, or a closely related technical discipline
  • * Minimum two (2) years of project engineering experience, ideally in process technology, water treatment, hydrometallurgy, chemicals, mining, or EPC delivery
  • * Demonstrated hands-on experience with project management software (for example Microsoft Project, Primavera P6, Smartsheet, Planner, Asana, or an equivalent enterprise scheduling and tracking platform) including building schedules, managing dependencies, and reporting from them
  • * Working knowledge of document control and correspondence management practice, including transmittal logs, revision control, and RFI handling
  • * Strong written communication; able to produce clear, contractually careful correspondence for external partners
  • * Advanced Microsoft Excel; comfortable building and maintaining trackers, dashboards, and status reporting
  • * Demonstrated ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and hold deadlines without direct authority over contributors
  • * Exposure to technology licensing, process design packages, or performance guaranteed process scope
  • * Familiarity with lithium, direct lithium extraction, brine processing, or broader critical minerals value chains
  • * Experience reading and administering commercial contracts, including deliverable schedules, liquidated damages, and change order provisions, CAPM, PMP, or equivalent project management credential, or progress toward one
