JOB SUMMARY:

The primary role of the 2027 intern is to support the Association Relations team in strengthening AMBA's relationships with association partners and helping identify opportunities to increase member engagement, membership growth, and the value of AMBA's benefit programs. The intern will gain exposure to the association benefits industry while assisting with association research, partner communications, engagement initiatives, and projects that support AMBA's association relationships.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Research current and prospective association partners, including their membership, organizational structure, benefits, events, and strategic priorities

· Assist with preparing materials, reports, presentations, and meeting information for association partners and internal stakeholders

· Support the Association Relations team with partner communications, follow-up, and ongoing relationship management

· Assist with tracking association engagement, membership growth opportunities, events, and other key activities

· Research industry trends and best practices related to associations, affinity groups, membership engagement, and member benefits

· Assist with identifying opportunities to increase awareness and utilization of AMBA's insurance and benefit programs among association members

· Gain an understanding of how AMBA partners with associations to provide insurance benefits, marketing support, membership growth, and other services

· Assist with association meetings, events, webinars, and other partner engagement activities

· Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS:

· Candidates should be entering their junior or senior year of college with at least a 3.00 GPA

· Pursuing a degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Insurance, Sales, or a related area of study

· Be a self-starter with the ability to learn new concepts quickly

· Exhibits strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills

· Possesses excellent verbal and written communication skills

· Demonstrates strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build positive relationships

· Demonstrates strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities

· These positions are required to be in-office, so candidates must have reliable transportation

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
  • Continually required to utilize hand and finger dexterity
  • Continually utilize visual acuity to operate equipment, read technical information, and/or use a keyboard
