Summary
THREE is a commercial insurance provider offering streamlined coverage for small businesses. The Retail Account Manager will own relationships with assigned agencies, proactively generate and advance qualified opportunities, and drive submissions, binds, and premium growth while meeting production goals.
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain productive relationships with assigned agencies and producers
- Understand each agency’s book, opportunities, challenges, and potential with THREE
- Develop and execute a territory strategy to achieve or exceed production targets
- Quickly determine which opportunities can generate meaningful volume and maintain a disciplined sales cadence through agency check-ins, onboarding conversations, business reviews, and activation efforts
- Generate strong, qualified submission activity
- Follow up on submissions and actively move opportunities through the sales pipeline to turn quotes into binds
- Understand territory performance across the funnel, anticipate obstacles, and adjust sales strategies early
- Use THREE’s CRM, pipeline, submission, conversion, and production data to prioritize agencies and opportunities for scale
- Understand why THREE wins and loses business and where friction limits production
- Capture meaningful competitive, product, underwriting, and agency feedback from the market
- Partner with Underwriting while maintaining ownership of the sales relationship
- Execute on team and department initiatives within assigned agencies
Skills
- Commercial insurance and independent agency experience are required
- 2+ years of experience in commercial insurance, agency sales, or a related sales role
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to lead productive conversations with agency partners
- Demonstrated success in internal agency management, developing new business, and driving measurable sales results
- Strong knowledge of commercial insurance products, quoting, and the submission-to-bind process
- High personal accountability, strong bias toward action, and the ability to solve problems independently
- Ability to sell differentiated product value - not simply relationships, price, or familiarity
Qualifications
Must Haves
