Summary
Second Sight Solutions, a subsidiary of Berkeley Research Group, is a health technology company that reimagines how drug discount data is exchanged. The Staff Accountant will support the monthly accounting process, perform day-to-day accounting duties, and contribute to project-based initiatives while ensuring accuracy, quality, and collaboration in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Primary accounting support for Rebate model
- Review department and GL account coding of transactions (i.e. vouchers) for appropriateness
- Perform bank reconciliations
- Assist in the preparation of standard recurring and non-recurring journal entries including adjusting entries
- Support the collection and preparation of data for sales tax returns
- Assist in providing accurate financial information and documentation to support tax preparer requests
- Work collaboratively and communicate often with several internal departments
- Adapt to new tasks and responsibilities as the business grows and changes
- Contributing to the organization in a professional manner with a positive attitude

- US GAAP knowledge
- Proficient in MS Office. Advanced skills in Excel
- Exceptional organizational skills, follow-up skills and attention to detail

- Consistent attendance and reliability
- Candidate must be able to submit verification of his/her legal right to work in the United States, without company sponsorship
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting preferred
- 1-2 years of professional experience in accounting or auditing preferred
- Experience in healthcare, healthcare data, pharma, etc. a plus
