Job description

Summary

BRAVAS is a luxury technology integrator that designs and delivers smart home solutions, including lighting, shades, audio/video, networking, and home automation. The Staff Accountant supports corporate accounting and treasury operations by managing cash activity, reconciliations, journal entries, financial reporting, payments, close processes, audits, and process improvements across multiple entities.

Responsibilities

  • Manage daily cash activity: monitor bank accounts, record transactions, and maintain accurate cash position reporting
  • Perform bank, balance sheet, and general ledger (GL) reconciliations; research and resolve discrepancies
  • Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial reports in accordance with U.S. GAAP, company policy, and internal controls
  • Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes
  • Process and monitor ACH payments, wire transfers, and positive pay; maintain banking relationships
  • Assist with internal and external audits, providing documentation and maintaining accurate accounting records
  • Monitor financial activity to identify irregularities or risk, and recommend corrective actions and process improvements
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to support accounting, treasury, and operational initiatives
  • Own assigned accounts and responsibilities; proactively manage deadlines and communicate progress to leadership
  • Identify opportunities to improve accounting and treasury processes through automation, standardization, and stronger controls
  • Prepare ad hoc financial analyses, reports, and schedules to support management decision-making
  • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive financial data and ensure regulatory compliance
  • Provide backup support for accounting and treasury functions; participate in special projects as needed

Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (degree requirement may be waived for candidates with 5+ years of relevant hands-on accounting experience)
  • 3–5 years of progressive accounting and/or treasury experience
  • Hands-on experience with ERP/accounting software such as **NetSuite AND QuickBooks Enterprise Desktop.**
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Experience processing ACH payments, wire transfers, and other treasury transactions
  • Proven ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines
  • * Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, treasury operations, and internal controls
  • * Proficiency in ERP/accounting systems, online banking platforms, Excel, and Microsoft Office
  • * Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills with high attention to detail
  • * Excellent verbal and written communication skills; strong cross-functional collaboration
  • * Continuous improvement mindset; skilled at identifying process efficiencies and strengthening controls
  • * Prolonged periods of sitting (e.g., during travel or computer work)
  • * Ability to lift up to 15 pounds as needed
  • Experience in a multi-entity, manufacturing, or high-volume transaction environment preferred
