Summary
Climate First Bank is a sustainability-focused, FDIC-insured commercial bank offering personal and business financial services. The Financial Planning & Analysis Analyst will support the bank’s financial strategy through budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, reporting, and performance analysis while providing actionable insights to senior management and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and enhance financial models for budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports analyzing variances, trends, and key performance indicators (KPIs)
- Support budgeting and forecasting processes by gathering data, coordinating with business units, and ensuring accuracy and timeliness
- Conduct ad hoc financial analyses to support strategic initiatives, capital allocation, and cost management projects
- Monitor and report on the bank’s financial performance against targets, proactively identifying areas for improvement
- Assist with regulatory reporting and ensure compliance with internal controls and policies
- Collaborate with department heads to understand business drivers, risks, and opportunities, providing financial guidance as needed
- Participate in the development and implementation of financial systems and process improvements
Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
- 2+ years of experience in FP&A, financial analysis, or related roles
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, financial modeling, and data analysis
- High level of integrity and commitment to confidentiality
- Strong ability to explain complex financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and quantitative skills
