Summary
Coburn Technologies is hiring a Sales Representative based in Houston, TX to manage and grow its Texas territory. The role focuses on developing B2B customer relationships, driving sales, conducting product demonstrations, preparing sales documentation, maintaining CRM information, and supporting equipment-related customer needs.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective B2B customers
- Drive sales growth and achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual territory goals
- Prospect for new business through networking, cold calling, industry events, and other channels
- Conduct customer presentations, product demonstrations, and sales calls
- Represent Coburn at regional and national trade shows and industry events
- Prepare quotes, proposals, contracts, and orders
- Partner with Service and Operations to ensure a smooth customer experience
- Maintain accurate customer, opportunity, pipeline, and forecasting information in our CRM
- Develop the technical knowledge needed to demonstrate equipment and perform basic installation and service
- Travel throughout Texas, with occasional travel outside the territory as business needs require
Skills
- Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
- Strong organizational and technical skills
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with Sales, Service, and Operations
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CRM systems
- Valid driver's license and good driving record
- Ability to travel regularly throughout the Texas territory, including occasional overnight travel
- This position is remote and requires the successful candidate to reside in the Houston metropolitan area
- This is a full-time, salaried, exempt position, with a schedule generally aligned with Monday-Friday business hours. Periodic evening or weekend work may be required for customer commitments, trade shows, and industry events
- 3+ years of outside B2B sales experience
- Preferably in optical or technical equipment sales
- Experience in the optical industry and/or Finishing and Diagnostics Equipment is strongly preferred
