Summary
Direct Travel is a leading provider of corporate travel management, leisure, and meetings and events services. The Sales Development Representative drives new business by qualifying leads, conducting outbound prospecting, scheduling meetings for the sales team, managing CRM records, and collaborating with sales and marketing.
Responsibilities
- Lead Generation: Research and identify potential customers using tools such as LinkedIn, company databases, and marketing platforms
- Outbound Prospecting: Conduct outbound cold calls, LinkedIn messages and emails to prospective customers
- Qualifying Leads: Engage with prospects to understand their needs, pain points, and potential fit for our products or services. Using the SPICED sales methodology, it is the SDRs role to uncover the Situation, Pain and Impact our solution could make for them
- Schedule Meetings: Book qualified meetings and demos for the sales team to further pursue opportunities
- CRM Management: Maintain detailed records of interactions with prospects and leads in the CRM system
- Collaboration: Work closely with the sales and marketing teams to ensure alignment and optimize outreach strategies
- Follow-up: Diligently follow up with inbound leads who have expressed interest or have been nurtured by the marketing team
Skills
- 2 year-Diploma or equivalent experience
- Familiarity with prospecting in B2B
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Confidence in making outbound calls and engaging with senior decision-makers
- Ability to learn quickly and adapt in a fast-paced environment
- Familiarity with CRM tools and lead generation platforms (Salesforce, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Zoominfo, Salesloft, etc.)
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- 2+ years of experience in sales, customer service, or related field preferred
- Previous experience in SaaS or technology sales
- Degree in a business related major is preferred
