Job description

Summary

DoorDash is a technology and logistics company with a Digital Ordering SaaS business unit that helps restaurants reach customers and grow revenue through first-party channels. The Associate Manager will own a portfolio of products end to end, set strategy and priorities, drive growth, and lead cross-functional partners across product, engineering, analytics, implementation, sales, and marketing. The role also involves analyzing data, running experiments, representing merchant needs, and developing scalable processes and best practices.

Responsibilities

  • Take end-to-end ownership of your products. Set the strategy, define the goals and KPIs that measure success, and prioritize where to invest. You will build the business case, the financial model, and the operating plan, then carry them through launch and into growth
  • Bring Product, Engineering, Analytics, Implementation, Sales, Marketing, and Support behind a plan and hold partners accountable to it without formal authority. You will be the connective tissue that keeps a launch on schedule and the feedback loop that informs what gets built next
  • Pair complex data analysis with qualitative insight from merchants and frontline teams to guide strategic decisions. You will build your own models and translate what you find into action that improves both the merchant experience and internal execution
  • Design and launch zero-to-one tests, pilot AI-powered tools, build demos or prototype agents, and configure internal tooling that improves speed, accuracy, or effectiveness. You will move quickly to retire what does not work and scale what does
  • Act as the voice of the merchant and the field, leading discovery interviews and synthesizing feedback from Sales, Implementation, Support, and merchants themselves to help influence product roadmaps and go-to-market priorities. You will ensure our products resonate with restaurants and scale with repeatable excellence
  • Codify what works. Build the repeatable frameworks, processes, and enablement that raise the bar across the org, and define best practices for launching new products in a way that’s scalable and measurable

Skills

  • Think like a founder, identifying the problems nobody flagged, building the case for solving them, and driving them to resolution with limited structure or direction
  • Bring strong analytical horsepower and intellectual curiosity, comfortable diving into complex data and extracting insights that drive real-world decisions
  • Thrive in fast-paced, high-ambiguity environments, moving with urgency, defaulting to action, taking ownership end to end, and knowing when to bend process to get things done
  • Lead cross-functional teams through influence, building trust with Product, Engineering, Sales, Account Management, and Marketing partners and holding them to their commitments
  • Carry executive presence, comfortable presenting to senior leaders, defending a recommendation with data, and adapting the message to the audience
  • Have experience working closely with Sales or frontline teams, and know how to turn insights from those teams into action
  • Demonstrate comfort with AI, automation, or internal tooling to drive process efficiency, enable scale, or prototype solutions
  • 4-7 years of experience in strategy, operations, consulting, product, or founder-type roles
  • Have taken a product or concept from inception through launch and into growth, leading cross-functional partners without a fully defined brief
  • Demonstrate the judgment to set a product's direction and prioritize the gaps that matter most to the business
  • Can devise and execute a strategy to achieve business outcomes
  • Bring a strong analytical background, with the ability to synthesize large data sets into meaningful insights
  • Lead cross-functionally and influence without authority across Product, Engineering, Data Science, Sales, and Marketing
  • Develop goals and OKRs to measure success, and hold yourself accountable for the outcome
  • Carry executive presence and exceptional communication skills, with the ability to tailor messaging across audiences (e.g., sales reps, execs, and merchants)
  • Pilot or build with AI tools in real-world workflows
  • Bring a founder mindset, identifying problems independently and driving them to resolution
  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Proficiency in SQL preferred
  • Founding or operating your own company or product, or an early employee role at a startup
  • Building and executing go-to-market motions
  • Working in a high-growth environment
  • Client or account management
  • Building financial or sales forecasting models
  • Restaurant, SaaS, or marketplace businesses
  • Both zero-to-one work in a lean environment and scaling products at a larger organization
  • Are the first in your family to attend college
