embecta is a global medical device company focused on insulin delivery, diabetes care, and healthcare solutions. The Account Executive – Acute Care is responsible for selling, supporting, promoting, and servicing products for acute care accounts across the Northeast U.S., while developing customer relationships, managing territory strategy, and achieving sales objectives.
Responsibilities
- Conduct daily sales calls with existing accounts and prospective customers to generate new business, expand existing business, and achieve sales goals
- Identify and develop new market opportunities, including converting accounts currently using competitive products to Owen Mumford products
- Maintain in-depth knowledge of Owen Mumford products, pricing, promotional strategies, and relevant competitive products
- Develop and execute a territory strategic business plan to achieve assigned sales targets for designated products
- Maintain strong knowledge of the healthcare device market, including relevant segments and channels within the assigned geography
- Sell and promote Owen Mumford branded and private label products
- Develop, support, and grow business in acute care accounts by cultivating effective relationships with key stakeholders and departments as appropriate
- Build relationships with distribution partners in the acute care business segment to promote, sell, and provide in-service support for Owen Mumford products
- Support and promote new clinical product launches and focused product initiatives
- Create and follow a strategic call route, including overnight travel as needed, to manage the assigned territory efficiently
- Maintain all applicable credentialing requirements
- Develop and maintain a territory pipeline that reflects current and future opportunities as well as potential risks
- Attend industry trade shows within and outside the assigned geography, as needed
- Complete and submit all administrative reports on time, including expense reports, activity reports, CRM updates, and monthly strategic planners/calendars
- Comply with all quality directives, SOPs, cGMP, and health and safety requirements
- Comply with all reasonable requests from senior leadership
Skills
- Four (4) year college degree
- Two (2) years sales experience
- Excellent communication and sales skills
- Proficient computer skills (CRM, Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Medical/Pharmaceutical/Managed Care industry experience
