Summary
FedEx Freight is a transportation and logistics company seeking an Account Manager for less-than-truckload (LTL) services. The role is responsible for developing new business, implementing accounts, maintaining customer relationships, identifying customer needs, presenting tailored solutions, and collaborating with internal teams to deliver strong service.
Responsibilities
- Direct sales efforts within a terminal operations locality
- Promote and direct sales activities, ensuring alignment with district goals
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities through research and outreach
- Maintain and grow existing accounts by understanding customer supply chains
- Collaborate with internal teams to deliver outstanding service
- Conduct sales presentations, develop proposals, and close deals. Utilize CRM tools and Microsoft Office to manage sales activities
- Comply with all applicable laws/regulations, as well as company policies/procedures
- Perform other duties as assigned
Skills
- While this is a remote position, the successful candidate must reside within 50 miles of a FedEx Freight location in Santa Clara, CA
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- 2 years B2B sales experience
- Strong initiative, organizational skills, and adaptability
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams) and Salesforce
- Mid-level negotiation skills and ability to offer competitive pricing
- Ability to collaborate with local operations teams
- Knowledge of LTL services and competitive landscape
- Ability to manage time and territory effectively
- Ability to travel overnight as required
