Job description

Summary

FirstCash is a leading international operator of pawn stores and a provider of technology-driven point-of-sale payment solutions. They are seeking an IT Logistics Specialist responsible for imaging laptops, installing applications, and managing IT hardware logistics across various locations in the USA.

Responsibilities

  • Working in various inventory & ticketing systems while performing device repairs, installations, and configurations with both speed and accuracy
  • Install laptops, desktops, tablets, desk phones, printers, etc. while implementing exceptional cable management techniques
  • Install applications and perform domain joins of laptops/desktops/tablets (Windows/Apple/Android)
  • Perform diagnosis, testing and burn-in, if required, of IT/POS hardware
  • Perform complicated and detailed repairs of a vast array of malfunctioning or damaged IT hardware
  • Create/edit configuration files and configuration guides for various device types
  • Perform warranty claims submissions for applicable hardware
  • Responsible for the cleaning and preparation of hardware after testing/repair is complete
  • Inbound shipment processing to include verification of serial numbers, identification of origin (store number/user name/vendor)
  • Prepare POS/IT hardware for deployment to include final configurations and repackaging
  • Fulfill work orders in a timely and accurate fashion by processing package shipments utilizing UPS World Ship and Fedex Ship Manager
  • Update work order statuses in real-time within inventory/ticket management system
  • Provide accurate information related to shipments including ETA and tracking information
  • Work reverse logistics tickets from creation to completion to ensure timely return of non-functioning hardware for the purpose of refurbishment or proper disposal
  • Responsible for the correct packaging of hardware for return-to-stock or shipping
  • Assist with or performs cycle counts to ensure material availability to satisfy demand
  • Assist with reviewing vendor invoices as needed
  • Stock/rotate inventory using FIFO process
  • Occasional travel within the metroplex, to transport equipment, using personal vehicle
  • Very infrequent travel beyond the north Texas area using company provided transportation (rental vehicle/airline/etc.)
  • Other duties as assigned

Skills

  • High School graduate (or comparable with 2+ years related experience)
  • A+ Certification required
  • Must have 6-months computer/hardware repair experience
  • Solid understanding of electronic principals and diagnostics to the board level
  • Capable of reading and following advanced technical manuals detailing equipment repairs
  • Good self-starter and capable of working independently on assignments
  • Effective and accurate follow-up and attention to detail
  • Must have an in-depth understanding of all FirstCash, Inc. field business models and each of their special needs/requirements within 6 months
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Skilled at focus control while working in a busy and noisy environment
  • Excellent time management skills to manage multiple processes with differing clock speeds in volume, while dealing with constant interruptions
  • Must be able to operate a hydraulic pallet stacker within 3 months of employment
  • Must maintain active driver license, automobile insurance, and clean driving record
  • Associates degree or technical school preferred
