Job description

Summary

Sarah Cannon Research Institute (SCRI) is an oncology research organization focused on advancing cancer treatments and improving patient outcomes. The Cash Application Coordinator performs cash application functions within the finance department while supporting operational, administrative, and organizational activities.

Responsibilities

  • Application of receivables to Cash Receipts Log, QuickBooks and Finance Trackers for all lines of business
  • Transactional line-item cash posting into proprietary systems based on remittance detail provided by pharmaceutical companies
  • Recognizing missed revenue opportunities by reconciling payment detail to financial tracking rates to determine discrepancies and communicate these to accounting
  • Ensure accuracy of cash postings by contacting the pharmaceutical companies to verify payment remittance detail
  • Review, interpret and discuss remittances from clients for data accuracy
  • Other duties as assigned

Skills

  • 1 year work experience in a position requiring exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Advanced knowledge and experience with all MS Office products including Excel
  • Basic financial operations knowledge including general ledger and cash system functionalities
  • Associate's Degree
  • 1 year work experience in a medical office, hospital, clinical research or pharmaceutical corporation

  • Advanced knowledge and experience with all MS Office products including Excel
  • Basic financial operations knowledge including general ledger and cash system functionalities
