Responsibilities
- Key responsibilities include account setup, budget maintenance, billing, financial reporting, and award closeout
- Working under general supervision, the Analyst interprets relevant federal, sponsor, and institutional regulations to provide guidance to faculty and staff on grant compliance
- Additionally, the Analyst contributes to special projects and process improvements as assigned
Skills
- Bachelor's degree required
- 1 year of experience in accounting, financial analysis, or sponsored research administration
- Solid understanding of general accounting principles, ledger reconciliation, and financial analysis
- Intermediate-to-advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and the ability to analyze, reconcile, and present complex financial data
- Demonstrated knowledge and skills in computerized financial software
- Demonstrated understanding of research administration processes
- Knowledge of OMB Uniform Guidance [2 CFR 200] and its predecessors OMB Circulars A-110, A-21, A-133, A-122; FAR, PHS Guidelines, DS2 regulations, private agency guidelines, costing principles, and University procedures
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Good mathematical and Excel skills
- Effective interpersonal, collaboration, and customer-service skills
- Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred
