Summary
Gundersen Health System is a healthcare organization seeking an experienced Application Analyst to support and optimize its Epic Professional Billing applications. The role partners with revenue cycle, finance, operational, and clinical stakeholders to improve billing workflows, support charge capture and claims processing, maintain system integrity, and provide end-user support.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoots and resolves basic application issues and provides end user support
- Collaborate with IT, and clinical teams to ensure optimal system performance and workflow efficiency
- Monitors applications for issues in connection with maintenance, upgrades and implementations
- Monitor performance and assist with auditing processes to ensure data integrity
- Participate in projects related to system enhancements, integrations, and new implementations
Skills
- • Education: Bachelor's degree or a related field or equivalent years of experience and education
- • Experience: At least 2-4 years of relevant work experience
- • Certifications: Epic Resolute Professional Billing and/or Hospital Billing certification will be required upon hire
- • Strong analytical and problem solving experience
- • Strong understanding of revenue cycle workflows including charge capture, coding, billing, claims, and follow‑up
- • Experience working with finance, revenue cycle, and operational stakeholders
- • Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and troubleshooting skills
- • Ability to clearly communicate technical concepts to non‑technical users
- • Experience working in a healthcare IT environment
