(Remote) Software Developer

Summary

MACC, a division of Harris, provides billing systems and integration solutions for telecommunications companies. The Software Developer will design, develop, and maintain database, API, backend, and front-end software solutions using MSSQL, REST APIs, C#/.NET Core, and Angular, while collaborating with cross-functional teams and improving application performance and development processes.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain database solutions using MSSQL
• Develop and maintain RESTful APIs to support various applications
• Write clean, scalable, and efficient code in C# using .NET Core
• Develop and maintain front-end applications using Angular, Typescript, HTML, and CSS
• Partner with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features
• Troubleshoot and debug applications to optimize performance
• Take part in code reviews and contribute to the continuous improvement of the development process
• Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies

Skills

• The remote role welcomes candidates anywhere in Canada and the US
• Travel is required as needed, approximately 10% for AGM in Eastern Nebraska
• Candidates must hold a current, valid passport and be legally eligible to travel
• This includes either passport based visa exemption or possession of any required travel visas for entry into the United States
• The successful candidate will demonstrate curiosity and a willingness to actively adopt and leverage AI tools to improve workflows, solve problems, and increase efficiency
• Candidates should be comfortable using AI enabled technologies, including copilots, chat based AI assistants, and automation tools, as part of their everyday work while maintaining appropriate judgment, security, and compliance standards
• Associates degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
• Proven experience as a Software Engineer or similar role
• Proven proficiency in MSSQL and database design
• Experience with REST API development and integration
• Proficiency in C# and .NET Core framework
• Experience with Angular, Typescript, HTML, and CSS
• Exceptional problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to work autonomously and manage multiple tasks
• Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS
• Knowledge of Agile development methodologies
• Familiarity with GitHub practices and tools
