Business Development Representative

Summary

Hexagon Manufacturing Intelligence develops measurement and manufacturing intelligence technologies for demanding industries. The Business Development Representative drives outbound prospecting and pipeline generation for Production Software solutions by researching accounts, qualifying leads, booking discovery calls and demos, and handing opportunities to Account Executives.

Responsibilities

• Outbound Prospecting: Research target manufacturing and industrial accounts; engage decision-makers via cold calls, email sequences, and LinkedIn outreach
• Lead Qualification: Evaluate prospects' production environments and operational needs against Hexagon's manufacturing intelligence, quality, and automation software solutions
• Pipeline Building: Book qualified discovery calls and product demos, then transition opportunities to AEs with clean handoff documentation
• Cross-Functional Alignment: Partner with marketing on campaign follow-up and with channel/partner teams to surface net-new market opportunities
• CRM Hygiene: Maintain accurate activity and pipeline data in Salesforce

Skills

• 1–3 years in a BDR/SDR or outbound sales role, B2B SaaS or industrial tech preferred
• Strong cold outreach and objection-handling skills
• Salesforce experience required and CRM experience
• Excellent written and verbal communication
